It hasn't been an easy journey for sure, but I am proud of her! Now she can work for 15 to 20 hours per week. She was also able to get healthcare assistance, and after a few years of therapy, she got a bit better. They've also encouraged her to join disability groups and social activities, which helped with her incredible transformation. From time to time, support workers visited her to help her with her needs. She was able to qualify for subsidized rent and got herself a small apartment. I have a friend in this exact situation, and I can see how self-sufficient she has become over the years, despite struggling to work full-time.
